Wireless Audio Devices; Used To Stream Music from Smartphone or Laptop Wirelessly
![]() |
Bluetooth speakers are portable and are better for small spaces. Whereas, Wi-Fi speakers have better range, sound quality, and are less likely to have their signal interrupted, but usually need to be connected to power at all times. Moreover, wireless speaker kits make regular speakers wireless by sending the audio signal through radio-frequency (RF) signal. The user can simply add a wireless speaker kit to provide a high-quality wireless signal to their surround speakers. Transmitter is a tool that can wirelessly transmit audio from one device to another.
Transmitter connected to the stereo system converts electrical signals to radio waves by sending alternating current through an antenna. An antenna and receiver on the wireless speaker detect the radio signal, and the receiver converts it into an electrical signal. Bluetooth drives wireless headphones and portable speakers and lets the user wirelessly connect the stereo system and/or sound bar to the smartphone and its myriad streaming services. Wireless audio devices offer connectivity, expandability, flexibility, and convenience.
Rising adoption of smart digital audio technology has completely changed the outlook of the wireless audio market, and thus, there is an increasing demand for wireless audio devices across the globe. For example, in August 2021, Sony (Japan) announced the launch of a new range of party speakers in India under Sony's X series. All of these speakers feature Sony’s X-Balance speakers and non-circular diaphragm which the company claims produces less distorted sound by maximizing the area of the speaker.
